You look like you were really enjoying your birthday! Radiant is the word I would use.
I did send you an e-card on the day, but I don't think you got it, as I didn't get the email that the card company sends to say you've seen it. Wouldn't like you to think I'd forgotten you!

Thanks, Beth! You're a Sweetie!! I wish I could have sent you all a piece! Well, seeing as that I FORGOT to serve the ice-cream, I'm enjoying it little by little, after the fact! 'Mmmmmmm! Seriously, I think I need to go on a diet, but seeing as I never have actually "dieted" before, I'm really not sure HOW!! Any advice, anyone??

Well, if you really want to a good thing to do is cut out all refined sugar (pastries, cakes, etc.) and all white bread. The best bread I have heard of to eat is multigrain or pumpernickle and some companies sell low carb bread as well. I get one here which is a multigrain, low card (7 or 8 grams each, I think) and it is quite good. White starches i.e., breads, rice, etc. are killer food for dieters. Whole grain food is best, I have heard and brown rice instead of the white rice. Also, they talk about portion control as well.

Now, I just have to practice what I am saying and maybe we can all wiggle our small butts very soon....But the long and the short of it is that only go on a diet if you really feel you want to and need to. Dieting is a past kind of expression. Now it seems to be called "Changing one's lifestyle" as one would stay on it forever but treat herself/himself once a week to something yummy.

Hope this helps...It is just what I have heard from talk shows experts in this field....

    Love,
    Beth

Thanks for the heads up, girlfriend! I will have to try your advice. Need to get my head around it first though! Today was DEFINITELY not the right day to start. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!
Love and hugs to you, Beth.
